Albert is a young male elf wizard apprentice, marked by large pointed ears signifying his elven heritage. He serves as companion and understudy to the elderly wizard Joeza. Primarily comic relief, Albert displays a consistently cocky and impulsive nature.

He and Joeza were actively pursuing a powerful magic amulet stolen by the arch-wizard Werdna, who betrayed their former alliance with King Trebor. Albert joins a dungeon expedition with Joeza and adventurers Shin, Alex, and Hawkwind. During the quest, he proves capable with practical magic, assisting in healing Alex after a zombie attack. Albert proactively suggests forming alliances with other adventurers to strengthen their party against Werdna.

In the climactic battle on the dungeon's tenth floor, Albert suffers fatal injuries confronting Werdna. Joeza sacrifices his own life force to magically revive Albert, resulting in Joeza's death. Revived, Albert is present at the epilogue's graveside ceremony where the amulet is buried at Joeza's gravesite.
