Description
Kanna Kamui, a young dragon exiled from her home dimension as punishment for disruptive pranks stemming from parental neglect, sought out Tohru, a fellow dragon, hoping to return together. After Tohru chose to remain in the human world with Kobayashi, Kanna accused Kobayashi of manipulation but eventually accepted Kobayashi's offer to stay, forming a new family unit.

In human guise, she appears as a young girl standing 120 cm tall, with white-lavender hair often in twin ponytails tipped with purple and blue eyes. Her typical attire is gothic lolita-style with tribal motifs: a white capelet, pink blouse, frilly skirt, and red doll shoes. Her true form is a large, feathered white dragon with a beaked mouth, wings, and a thick tail, standing 10 meters tall. Key physical traits include four horns usually concealed in public and a thin tail ending in a puffball. This tail can morph into an electrical plug, allowing her to recharge mana from power outlets to compensate for the human world's low ambient magic.

Kanna maintains a stoic, quiet demeanor with minimal facial expressions, yet experiences deep emotions. Her youthful dragon age manifests in childlike behaviors: frequent napping, craving snacks, and consuming insects or small animals whole. Generally gentle, she exhibits mischief, possessiveness over discovered interests, and occasional vulgarity when angered. Initial distrust of humans faded as she grew attached to Kobayashi, viewing her as a maternal figure, and Tohru, whom she respects as "Lady Tohru" and considers an older sister. She formed a close bond with her classmate Riko Saikawa, eventually developing and reciprocating romantic feelings, expressing a desire for a relationship mirroring Kobayashi and Tohru's.

Her abilities encompass superhuman strength—demonstrated by hurling Tohru vast distances—and electricity generation/manipulation. Due to inexperience, she cannot cast complex spells like perception-blocking, unlike older dragons. She relies on environmental mana absorption, primarily via electrical outlets, to sustain her powers. Her dragon physiology grants durability and flight, achievable even in human form by manifesting wings.

Kanna's development centers on adapting to human society. Enrolled at Oborozuka Elementary under the alias "Kanna Kobayashi," she learns social norms, such as concealing non-human traits and moderating her strength during activities like the school sports festival. There, she prioritized teamwork and supported Riko after a fall over personal victory. Her relationship with her father, Kimun Kamui, evolved from resentment over his instrumental view of her to cautious reconciliation after he accepted her choice to live in the human world. A pivotal moment occurred when she ran away to New York, rescued her friend Chloe from kidnappers, and facilitated Chloe's return home, demonstrating independence and protective instincts.

Kanna's dual nature as a powerful dragon and a child navigating human life creates narrative tension, balancing instinctual behaviors with societal integration. Her presence reinforces the theme of unorthodox family, cementing the dynamic between Kobayashi as a guardian and Tohru as a sibling figure.
