Kenta Amano lives with his cousin Haruka Amano and their grandfather, Dr. Hiroshi Amano, at the Amano Peace Science Laboratory. He combines a cheerful nature with hotheaded tendencies and quickly befriends Yuutarou Katori, the human identity used by Space Police Force commander Fighbird. This deep bond results in Kenta becoming a special Space Police Force member; Katori equips him with Wrister, a wristwatch-shaped robotic communicator, for mission coordination.

Viewing Katori as an elder brother, Kenta actively aids his adaptation to human society, frequently stepping in to prevent accidental exposure of the Space Police Force's activities. He joins field operations, maintaining vital communication links between Katori and the Rescue base during clashes with the antagonistic force led by Draias and Dr. Jango. His involvement spans terrestrial battles against threats like mechanized beasts (Mecha-Juu) and crisis scenarios such as hostage situations, where he displays courage despite his youth.

Throughout the conflict, Kenta works alongside human allies including Inspector Satsuda and Dr. Yoshiko Kunieda, who later learn of the Space Police Force's existence. He also interacts with reformed thieves Ippei and Goro after they join the laboratory's rescue efforts. His duties extend beyond combat to daily life at the laboratory, assisting Haruka with household tasks amidst Dr. Amano's experimental work.

Kenta's role evolves from initial reconnaissance support to direct participation in strategic countermeasures against escalating threats, including defending entire nations and thwarting Draias's planetary-scale schemes.
