Ricky displays a quick temper, easily riled and often requiring restraint from the cyborg Talos. He engages in frequent sibling-like spars with Alfin, reinforcing the crew's familial dynamic. His engineering skills prove critical during missions, maintaining the Minerva and solving technical challenges.

In the OVAs, Ricky participates in high-stakes operations: infiltrating an ice asteroid prison destabilized by political intrigue and recovering a planet-destroying superweapon amid military corruption and rogue robots. A minor incident involves him accidentally pulling off Alfin’s bikini top without explicit content.
