Movie
Description
Akira serves as a loyal subordinate to Dr. Karigari, initially appearing as an antagonist before becoming an ally. He is constantly accompanied by fellow subordinate Yusuke, sharing a bond of camaraderie and mutual loyalty where Akira affectionately calls Yusuke "Bro." Akira possesses brown hair with a distinctive front tuft and black eyes, typically wearing a black hoodie featuring a front pocket with white trim, white stripes on the sleeves, and a green stripe down the middle, paired with black pants.

Following the Tower of Babel's destruction, his head becomes detached, displayed instead on a wearable TV monitor. Personality-wise, Akira exhibits a cheerful and friendly demeanor, marked by unwavering loyalty to Karigari and occasional foolish actions like attempting to disperse clouds with fans. While lacking personal vendettas against the Mobile Rescue Police, he remains dedicated to Karigari's objectives and maintains a friendly rapport with television announcer Yuri Sasagawa.

Throughout the series, Akira assists Karigari in schemes such as bank robberies and sabotaging the Mobile Rescue Police, often piloting a Walker Vehicle. He participates in hijacking the Weather Science Integration Research Lab disguised as an alien and delivers a critical counter-virus chip to Sasagawa. During the Tower of Babel incident, he and Yusuke accompany Karigari in a Drive Head to contain the Evil AI's energy, surviving the explosion but concealing their survival.

In the movie, Akira continues working covertly with Karigari and Yusuke against Terra, the android embodiment of the Evil AI, assisting in capturing and modifying the Cyclone Interceptor for the fight. After Terra's defeat, Karigari promises to restore Akira's head to its original state, resolving the TV monitor's malfunctions. Akira does not appear in the 2018 web series.
