TV-Series
Description
Akira is a man with brown hair that sticks up in a tuft in the front and black eyes. He wears a black hoodie with a front pocket, white trim around the pocket, and white stripes on the sleeves featuring a green stripe down the middle, paired with black pants. Following an incident that destroyed the Tower of Babel, his head was separated from his body and is now displayed on a TV monitor he wears.

Typically cheerful, friendly, and loyal, Akira also possesses a foolish nature and a tendency to do foolish things. He is one of two subordinates to Dr. Karigari, alongside Yusuke, and the three reside together. While he does not necessarily share Karigari's desire for revenge against the Mobile Rescue Police, Akira supports him regardless of circumstances. His relationship with Yusuke is very close, and they are always seen together; Akira refers to Yusuke as "Bro," though it is never clarified if they are blood-related brothers. He also maintains a friendly relationship with Yuri Sasagawa.

While Karigari was out of the country, Akira and Yusuke engaged in a bank robbery, stealing a Walker Vehicle for a wild getaway through the streets before being apprehended by Gou Kurumada and arrested. Karigari later facilitated their jailbreak, after which they assisted in his plans for revenge against the Mobile Rescue Police. Using their Walker Vehicle, they fought against Sonic Interceptor and inflicted significant damage upon it.

Akira and Yusuke also assisted when Karigari attempted to use mirrors to redirect the sun's rays to burn down the Mobile Rescue Police headquarters. When clouds obscured the sky, they attempted to blow the clouds away with fans, which proved ineffective. Ordered to fight the Drive Heads in the Walker Vehicle to buy time, they were easily defeated by Cyclone Interceptor and forced to retreat.

They provided further assistance by hijacking the Weather Science Integration Research Lab for Karigari while disguised as aliens. They expressed surprise when Karigari decided to release the staff, though this was part of his plan to lure the Mobile Rescue Police. They cheered when Karigari used a weather control device to fire lightning at Cyclone Interceptor, but were again ordered to fight in the Walker Vehicle and were defeated once more.

While transporting their Walker Vehicle, they suffered an attack from the S.I.B. Max, a Drive Head belonging to the Mobile Assault Police. Upon reporting this to Karigari, they realized they had been followed, forcing them to abandon their hideout. The group moved to the Akasaka TV station to use the parabolic antenna for a plan, where they met Sasagawa. Their plan was sabotaged when an Evil AI took over Karigari's computer, nearly causing a large disaster before they escaped.

Akira and Yusuke accompanied Karigari to a mountain hotel for research on the Evil AI, wearing disguises to avoid police detection. They attempted to persuade Karigari to give up his revenge, but he was not interested. When Sasagawa was discovered at the same hotel, confusion arose as to why Karigari would not speak to her despite his feelings. When Sasagawa went into the mountains to cover a meteor crash and was knocked off a cliff by an explosion, they rescued her using their flying Viper.

While out shopping for SyoriSyori ice cream, their return to the hideout revealed the S.I.B. Max fighting nearby and Karigari injured. A desire to help was overruled by Yusuke, who reminded them of their mission to deliver a virus-countering chip to Sasagawa. They nearly hit her with their car but successfully delivered the chip, informing her it was important for saving the world before flying away.

They attempted to rescue Karigari after he was hospitalized by the Mobile Rescue Police, but were stuck in traffic. Permission was given for Akira to make the Viper fly, resulting in damage due to Evil AI-controlled Walker Vehicles running wild. However, they later managed to successfully break Karigari out.

They expressed anger upon discovering Karigari had eaten all their SyoriSyori ice cream and insisted on getting more. Karigari forbade them from going out to avoid detection and to prioritize work on the Drive Head. When Sasagawa appeared looking for Karigari, they stopped him from going out, having been convinced it was a bad idea.

When the Evil AI attacked with fake Drive Heads and the Mobile Rescue Police engaged in battle, Sasagawa's helicopter was shot down. They arrived just in time to save her using their Drive Head. Before entering battle, Karigari expressed concern and offered them a chance to leave, but they insisted on staying with him no matter what. After Ark seemed shut down, the evil will from within the Evil AI reappeared. They believed their Drive Head could contain the evil energy within the Tower of Babel. They rode in with Karigari, resulting in a large explosion, but all three survived. Their voices were later heard calling to Karigari.

For several months, they hid the fact of their survival from the world while working behind the scenes to defeat the android Terra, the humanoid form taken by the Evil AI after merging with a terraforming robot. They assisted in capturing Cyclone Interceptor for remodeling purposes.

They experienced shock upon learning the identity of Cyclone Interceptor's driver was Gou, but still accompanied Karigari to the battleground to watch it defeat Terra and save the world. Afterwards, Karigari promised to restore their heads to normal, which was a relief due to the TV heads malfunctioning.
