Movie
Description
Kanata lives as an ordinary resident in New Tokyo, the ground-level section of the city fractured thirteen years earlier when part of Tokyo broke off to float in the sky as "Old Tokyo," severing communication and travel between them. His life changes during a monster attack when he is rescued by Sora, a mysterious girl descending from Old Tokyo. This encounter awakens latent abilities within him.
Gaining powers to nullify warp effects and overcome speed-reduction barriers, Kanata also demonstrates significant bursts of speed under emotional duress. He wields combat techniques including the "Follow Up Piercer," which fires piercing shots tracking teammates' paths, and the "Involute Sphere," generating spiral projectiles. His Strike Shot ability, "Howl from Beyond," triggers a limited-duration enraged state followed by full health restoration upon reverting.
Aligning with Sora and others in the "liberation front," Kanata joins the direct conflict against threats endangering both cities. Driven by Sora's foresight of Old Tokyo falling onto New Tokyo, he undertakes a perilous journey between the separated cities. His role evolves from resident to active participant striving to prevent this catastrophe.
