Her digital counterpart, the EVE program, was integrated into the Bahamut supercomputers governing the Megazones. Designed to nurture survivors through simulated historical realities, this AI manifested using Eve Tokimatsuri's likeness. In Megazone 23, it appeared as a charismatic singer and virtual idol to maintain stability. Over centuries, the EVE program gained self-awareness, guiding individuals like Shogo Yahagi by revealing their simulated existence and aiding survival during conflicts.
Centuries after Megazone 23's return to Earth, the physical Eve Tokimatsuri remained suspended beneath Eden City. Discovered and awakened by hacker Eiji Takanaka (the new "Operator 7G"), she allied with him to dismantle "The System," the Bahamut-derived network controlling Eden under Bishop Won Dai and the E=X Bureau. Accessing the original Bahamut within Megazone ruins, she uncovered Project Heaven – a plan to launch Eden into space, repeating humanity's exile. Her unique access rights as the system's original designer enabled her to halt Project Heaven.
In the climax, Eve confronted the dying Bishop Won Dai, implied to be Shogo Yahagi. She assumed control of the city core to override Project Heaven, sacrificing herself by piloting it to the Moon to destroy the ADAM defense system permanently. This act severed humanity's dependence on artificial overseers, freeing Eden's population to live on Earth and preventing future cybernetic control, fulfilling her initial mission with Professor Heinkel.
