OVA
Description
Pyron, an ancient extraterrestrial entity from the colossal war-planet Hellstorm, evolved over 200 million years into a cosmic being of pure solar energy, stretching 400,000 light-years in orbital span. His core objective is collecting celestial bodies by consuming them, adding their remnants to his path. He arrived on Earth approximately 65 million years ago during the dinosaur era, deploying robotic Huitzil forces (Phobos in Japanese releases) to eradicate planetary life. Pyron postponed consuming Earth then, intending for the planet to "ripen" and cultivate stronger lifeforms worthy of combat.

He exhibits a dark, prideful, and arrogant personality, frequently declaring himself the "lord of the living flames." Pyron thrives on challenge and combat, seeking worthy opponents to test his limits. Despite destructive goals, he demonstrates strategic leadership when commanding robotic armies or collaborating with others. He possesses a thrill-seeking nature and occasional humor during interactions.

His capabilities include solar energy manipulation, enabling flight at or beyond light speed, generating supernova-level heat, and absorbing planetary energy. Pyron creates fire-based constructs, senses life forces, controls gravity, teleports short distances, and shapeshifts to match opponents. His physical form resists conventional damage but weakens without consuming worlds for energy replenishment. Magical attacks and energy-absorbing entities can harm him.

In the original *Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors* arcade game, Pyron serves as the final boss. He initiates a tournament to eliminate powerful Darkstalkers before consuming Earth but is defeated and consumed by the vampire Demitri Maximoff. Pyron returns as a playable character and boss in *Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge*, maintaining his planetary conquest objective.

Within the OVA *Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge*, Pyron invades Earth to eradicate powerful beings, killing Darkstalkers Anakaris, Rikuo, Sasquatch, and Victor. He creates miniature suns to nullify darkness-based powers and draw out adversaries. After effortlessly defeating Demitri and mortally wounding Donovan Baine, Pyron is confronted by a giant Huitzil robot. Though initially overpowering Donovan, the hero—empowered by his companion Anita's psychic abilities—executes the "Press of Death" using a wind spirit, destroying Pyron.

Other portrayals diverge: the American *Darkstalkers* cartoon depicts Pyron reliant on a spacecraft for power, commanding subordinates while fearing his stronger brother Terramon. He eventually allies with other Darkstalkers to repel Terramon but maintains his ambition to conquer Earth. In later games like *Capcom Fighting Evolution*, he features as a boss or playable character, and appears in crossover titles such as *Project × Zone 2*.
