Description
Apollo is a cybernetically enhanced antagonist created by Black Ghost scientists Dr. Gaia and Dr. Uranus through the transformation of an unnamed human. His reconstructed body and mind emulate the Greek solar deity, complete with fabricated memories that instill belief in his divine purpose to pass judgment on humankind. As the leader of the Mythos Cyborgs, his design incorporates spiky crimson hair evoking flames, golden eyes, and attire inspired by ancient Greece—a white toga, cape, and sandals.

He commands mastery over heat and fire, unleashing intense flames from his palms, condensing thermal energy into precision lasers, and shrouding himself in incendiary barriers for attack or defense. Advanced cybernetics grant him superhuman speed via a proprietary accelerator module, levitation capabilities, and physical strength rivaling his chief opponent, Cyborg 009. These attributes cement his role as a combat-engineered entity designed for dominance.

Arrogant, prideful, and impulsive, he aggressively asserts his self-proclaimed divinity, fueling violent clashes with adversaries. His rivalry with Cyborg 009 stems from an obsession to validate his superiority, culminating in a decisive battle where his overconfidence triggers a stalemate. The resulting conflict destabilizes the battlefield until his sister Helena intervenes, propelling both into a volcanic eruption that annihilates them.

Ancillary media expand his lore: light novels attribute his pyrokinetic abilities to Black Ghost’s genetic manipulation, categorizing him as an “intentional mutant” whose latent traits were enhanced cybernetically. Alternate adaptations, such as the Mega-CD game, occasionally name his sister Artemis instead of Helena, while English dubs adjust his name to “Apollon” for linguistic consistency. His narrative remains anchored to the Mythos Cyborgs’ conflict with the 00 Cyborgs, with no official expansions beyond his prologue role in crossover events.
