Ream’s plea for Bon’s life prompts Louie to advocate for Bon’s recruitment as a Time Patrol trainee. Later, alongside Buyoyon, Louie rescues Ream and Bon from criminal time travelers in Egypt.

After the Leviathan incident, Time Patrol headquarters issues a warrant for Louie’s arrest. Ream, Bon, and Yumiko Yasukawa protest and appeal to Gayler, securing Louie’s acquittal—aided by Bon and Yumiko preventing the murder. This contrasts with John Defoe’s arrest in the source material. Buyoyon consistently shows respect toward Louie during their interactions.

Louie is absent from the 2024 anime adaptation, likely due to production occurring after Fujiko F. Fujio’s 1996 death without the author’s involvement. His anime-original status may also contribute, with uncertainty regarding Fujiko’s initial conception for the manga before cancellation.
