Sam is a child living in Edger Village, a settlement on the outskirts of Lingalind. He possesses medium-length green hair and blue eyes, often shown barefoot while wearing a torn brown shirt and gray pants. Sam belongs to a group of village children alongside Annie, Jim, and Tom. After the flying dreadnought Granedren erupts from beneath Edger Village, Sam and the other villagers must relocate onto the massive ship, joining the amnesiac protagonist Back Arrow on his voyage beyond the wall. As a crew member aboard the Granedren, Sam is counted among the allies and friends of Back Arrow within the Granedren United faction.
