Movie
Description
Ruby is a female Japanese hare Jewelpet representing Luck or Courage, serving as one of the franchise's three mascot characters. She appears consistently as a white hare with pink inner ears and ruby Jewel Eyes, wearing a pink cherry blossom flower with a red star around her left ear and a pink pearl necklace with red cherries. Her oval-shaped cherry-red charm form features a heart-shaped ruby embedded with four ruby crystals, decorated with white gold lines that turn gold when powered up.

She partners with different human protagonists across series. In the first series, she avoids transformation into a Jewel Charm and lands in Rinko Kougyoku's glass of water. Awakening there, she assists Rinko in locating scattered Jewelpets despite her magic having a 1% success rate, often causing explosions or bad luck when it fails. Her initial magic rank is Acrylic Class, though she temporarily achieves Super Crystal Class. In *Jewelpet Twinkle☆*, Ruby partners with Akari Sakura, acting as an older sister figure to Labra and displaying a more supportive, kind demeanor contrasting her usual airheadedness. For *Jewelpet Sunshine*, she rooms and studies with Kanon Mizushiro at Sunshine Academy, frequently clashing over their mutual crush on Mikage. Their rivalry evolves into empathy after learning Kanon and Mikage are siblings.

In *Jewelpet Kira☆Deco!*, Ruby owns the Kira-Kira Shop and partners with Pink Oomiya, assisting the KiraDeco 5 in collecting Deco Stones. Her obsession with sparkly objects is prominent, and her magic remains unreliable. She is identified as the sole "Deco Stone Master" capable of harnessing the stones' power. For *Jewelpet Happiness*, she co-manages the Jewelpet Café Happiness with Chiari Tsukikage, tasked with collecting Magic Gems. A significant event involves her inadvertent role in the Red Moon crisis after drawing a face on the moon's mirror. In *Lady Jewelpet*, Ruby mentors Momona as a Petite Lady candidate, guiding her through tasks to become the next Lady Jewel. Her airheadedness complicates this mentorship, though she remains optimistic and loyal.

In *Jewelpet the Movie: Sweets Dance Princess*, Ruby travels to Sweets Land for Princess Mana's birthday. When a mysterious Sweetspet named Gumimin falls from the sky with amnesia, Ruby takes on a protective role. Gumimin is later revealed as a Legendary Sweetspet. Ruby opposes destructive solutions to stop Gumimin's rampage, advocating for understanding and less harmful methods. Her leadership emerges during the climax as she delivers a motivational speech to unite others in saving Sweets Land.

Her magic spells include "Puri Puri Pururin Purirism! Open! Jewel Heart!" (to awaken Jewelpets), "Puru Puru Prism Jewerhythm! Ruby Jewel Flash!" (her frequently failing incantation), and group spells like "Puripuru Puropuru Puriphony!". Her human form in *Jewelpet Magical Change* features cherry-red hair, a pink seifuku jacket, and a pleated skirt, with shoelaces resembling her cherry necklace.

Character development includes moments of heroism, sacrificing herself to protect others in *Sunshine* and *Kira☆Deco!*, followed by resurrection through external love or magic. Her relationships vary from sibling-like bonds (Labra), rivalries (Kanon), to romantic interests (Mikage/Granite). Despite flaws like laziness, academic struggles, and impulsiveness, she exhibits loyalty, optimism, and a willingness to grow, such as seeking purpose in *Sunshine*.
