Description
Apple is Akari Kido's sentient teddy bear. Initially appearing as an ordinary stuffed toy, Apple manifests in a humanoid form during a critical moment to protect Akari from imminent danger in New York City. This transformation occurs as Akari faces a runaway truck while directing traffic on an international police exchange program. The bear actively intervenes, declaring its intent to safeguard both Akari and the city.

Apple shares a significant history with Akari, having been her companion 15 years prior during Akari’s childhood in New York. At that time, Akari’s father served with the NYPD before his death in the line of duty. The bear's reappearance in Akari’s adult life fuels questions about its origins and true nature, particularly regarding how it gained sentience and protective capabilities. These unresolved aspects form part of the narrative’s central mysteries.

Apple demonstrates combat skills and agility, engaging in confrontations with the sorceress Liberty. The bear utilizes these capabilities to defend against Liberty’s magic, which animates toys and objects into destructive entities. During a pivotal sequence, Apple collaborates with Liberty and Akari to combat a larger threat: an electricity-draining monster awakened in a museum. This temporary alliance highlights Apple’s role in uniting characters against common dangers.

The character appears exclusively in this single 40-minute original net animation.
