As a feudal lord, Shingen is a formidable warrior, frequently wielding her signature war fan to command wind and fire in battle. Her personality blends fierce combativeness with underlying friendliness and charm. While occasionally awkward in expressing emotions, she generally exhibits reasonableness and a good heart. Her defining relationship is a decades-long rivalry-friendship with fellow warlord Uesugi Kenshin, characterized by constant competition underpinned by profound mutual care. This dynamic fuels energetic clashes, like their battle over Crimson Armor fragments in Episode 4, and drives Kenshin to offer her own life and armor to protect Shingen from Oda Nobunaga's threat. Shingen's narrative involvement includes battling Kenshin for Crimson Armor pieces in Episode 4, inadvertently breaking protagonist Hideyoshi's phone. When Oda intervenes to seize the armor and threatens Shingen's life, Kenshin sacrifices herself as protection. Later, in Episode 7, Shingen meets Hideyoshi in Owari, bribing her with sweets to secure a larger role than Kenshin in a drama production. Ultimately, Shingen and Kenshin unite with other warriors in the series finale, assisting Oda in defeating Tokugawa Ieyasu after his Crimson Armor-corrupted attack devastates Owari. Shingen remains unaware of the armor's full capabilities throughout these events.
