Sasuke Sarutobi lives deep in the forest with his sister and friendly wild animals. A monstrous salamander erupts from a nearby lake, seizing and devouring one of their animal companions. This creature is revealed as the witch Yakusha in transformed state. Witnessing this horrific loss and learning of Yakusha's intent to terrorize Japan, Sasuke resolves to seek magical training to oppose her.

He travels to a mountain, locates a wizard, and becomes his apprentice. Over an extended period under the wizard's guidance, Sasuke diligently hones mystical skills. He masters abilities including materializing and dematerializing at will, flight, and other powers designed to confront supernatural threats. While Sasuke trains, bandits commanded by Yakusha raid his village, targeting his home and sister.

Returning, Sasuke intervenes to rescue a young girl from these bandits. He soon discovers his sister has been captured and taken to Yakusha's stronghold. To confront the witch and her forces, Sasuke allies with a village prince. Together, they assault the witch's domain. Sasuke engages Yakusha in a decisive magical duel, wielding the powers perfected during his training. He defeats the witch, achieving his goals: protecting his community, avenging his animal companion, and rescuing his sister.
