Date Masamune is a modern-day school teacher known to students as Date-sensei, descended from the historical feudal lord Date Masamune. Mysterious text messages and an ancient scroll transport her to a female-populated alternate dimension resembling Japan's Sengoku period, accidentally bringing her student Yoshino Hide (Hide-san). In this world, she adopts her ancestor's identity, becoming a daimyo. Her fair skin, light blue hair, and yellowish-brown eyes remain consistent across worlds. In the modern setting, she wears professional attire with her hair in a bun. In the Sengoku dimension, she wears her hair down and dons distinctive attire: a bra, long jacket, skirt, boots, gloves, a crescent moon-emblazoned helmet, and a black eye patch over her right eye, primarily in blue, gold, and white. Personality-wise, she exhibits confidence and supportiveness towards Hideyoshi in the modern world, emphasizing balance between hobbies and academics. In the Sengoku world, she displays an aloof, independent, and mysterious demeanor. Despite maintaining distance from Hideyoshi, she intervenes protectively multiple times and offers guidance, revealing an underlying protective nature. Her actions in the Sengoku world focus on pursuing the Crimson Armor, a sought-after artifact. She proposes sharing ghost stories to escape a dangerous forest. Later, she orchestrates a sake-fueled confrontation with Mitsuhide to distract from her true objective: stealing the Crimson Armor from Oda Nobunaga. Her identity stays concealed until episode 10, when Hideyoshi recognizes her after being rescued from a fire. After securing the armor, Tokugawa Ieyasu intercepts her, attacks her, seizes it, and becomes possessed by its evil influence. Once the armor is removed and Tokugawa reverts, Date attempts to reclaim it but is thwarted by Nobunaga, who destroys the artifact, preventing Date's corruption. In the final episode, she discloses her true identity as Hideyoshi's teacher. Following farewells from Nobunaga and Mitsuhide, both return to the modern world. Lacking supernatural abilities or combat skills, she relies solely on strategy and influence throughout her journey.
