Description
Rina Takamiya arrives in Seika City as a transfer student to St. Paulia's Academy and the mayor's niece. Driven by her police ambitions and belief Saint Tail is a criminal, she leverages her connection to join the investigation team, frequently using aggressive tactics like tear gas despite objections.
She possesses short dirty blonde pixie-cut hair, reddish-brown eyes, and stands taller than classmates like Asuka Jr. Her standard St. Paulia's uniform includes a pale yellow pleated skirt with an orange stripe, white button-up shirt, hot pink jacket, green neckbow, knee-high black socks, and yellow boots with black ribbons. Her summer uniform features a hot pink pleated skirt, white short-sleeved collared shirt, matching vest, and yellow dress shoes. For investigations, she wears a teal jumpsuit over a black long-sleeved shirt, brown boots, and an indigo collar.
Her romantic interest in Asuka Jr. becomes a key motivator. Suspecting Meimi Haneoka is Saint Tail, she shadows Meimi relentlessly and confronts Asuka Jr. with a bet: if Meimi is the thief, he becomes her boyfriend; if not, she stops harassing Meimi. Her intense scrutiny includes stalking and attempts to expose Meimi. However, Saint Tail outmaneuvers her by substituting an unconscious guard disguised as the thief, creating the illusion Saint Tail is an older man. This deception convinces Rina to admit defeat in the bet, ending her pursuit of Meimi and her involvement in the Saint Tail cases.
Her feelings for Asuka Jr. persist. Witnessing his reluctance to capture Saint Tail, she urges the mayor to remove him from the investigation, hoping to redirect his attention. Asuka Jr. passes a test proving his dedication to the case, forcing Rina to acknowledge his commitment to Saint Tail—and later, his romantic relationship with Meimi—cannot be undermined. After their relationship becomes official, she accepts the outcome and supports them instead of continuing her rivalry.
Eight years later, in the epilogue, she achieves her goal of becoming a police officer. Her role in law enforcement is noted, though she remains unaware of Saint Tail's true identity as Meimi Haneoka throughout her career.
