Description
Anna Liegi works as a veterinary assistant at Albert Robson's clinic in Genoa, her home and workplace. Her duties involve caring for injured animals, showcasing her nurturing nature alongside medical tasks. Beyond the clinic, she actively plays football for the Columbus team, competing successfully among male players due to her high skill level. This athletic talent earns her selection for the Italian women's national team, though a training injury ultimately prevents her participation.

Under Robson's direction, she serves as a football coach and mentor to Hikaru Yoshikawa, training him rigorously while offering consistent emotional support. Their bond evolves into a sibling-like dynamic, with Hikaru viewing her as a surrogate older sister. Anna actively encourages his personal life, particularly his romantic relationship with Catherine Ray, which she finds endearing and supports discreetly. Although she later develops unreciprocated romantic feelings for Hikaru, she prioritizes his happiness and refrains from acting on them.

As a key player for Columbus, her absence during the Genoa Cup significantly impacts the team's performance after she sustains a severe injury from an opponent in the Sampodesta Junior team. Her playing style and leadership on the field establish her as one of Columbus's most valuable members. Personality-wise, she blends traditionally masculine and caring traits: maintaining a short, boyish hairstyle; displaying a hot-tempered, competitive demeanor during matches; and demonstrating compassion through her veterinary work and cooking. This combination makes her a tomboyish yet multifaceted figure who integrates seamlessly as "one of the boys" on the football team.
