Description
Ritsuka Fujimaru serves as a Master for the Chaldea Security Organization, tasked with fulfilling Grand Orders to restore the Human Order. Their gender and name are customizable, leading to fan nicknames "Gudao" for the male version and "Gudako" for the female version. They primarily contract with Shielder Mash Kyrielight and numerous other Servants summoned by Chaldea.

Ritsuka joined Chaldea as a civilian without prior magical training or combat experience after responding impulsively to a recruitment flyer. Their role began as a provisional Master candidate meant to bolster numbers. During junior high, Ritsuka befriended a reclusive World War II veteran neighbor. The man's perspective—that life retained value despite hardship—profoundly influenced them, leading Ritsuka to refrain from crying at his funeral after internalizing this outlook. They attended high school and participated in volleyball, placing them around 16–17 years old during key events.

The male Ritsuka possesses short black hair, blue eyes, and an average build with visible musculature. The female version sports red hair in a side ponytail with a yellow hairband and light orange eyes. Both display Command Spells on their right hand, with designs differing by gender. They utilize various Mystic Codes for combat and missions, including the Chaldea Combat Uniform, Atlas Academy Uniform, and Arctic Region Chaldea Uniform. As a magus, Ritsuka possesses low-quality and low-quantity Magic Circuits, graded "D" in both categories. Their elemental affinity is Air (specifically Mist), and they specialize in basic Projection magecraft (illusions) and Hypnosis, taught partially by Merlin. Physical combat skills include kendo, compensating for limited magical prowess.

Ritsuka's alignment is Neutral Good, though described by figures like the Lion King as a soul that "knows good but commits evil, and allows evil while being good." They exhibit high empathy, forging bonds with even unstable Servants by respecting their inherent dignity. Key traits include perseverance, adaptability in crises, and a willingness to risk personal safety for others—evidenced by retrieving Specimen E despite dangers. Early missions highlighted their composure under pressure, maintaining calm while others panicked. Servants like Vlad III acknowledged their tactical command during battles.

Mash regards Ritsuka as her "senpai," defining the role as an ordinary person who strives without giving up. Cú Chulainn considers them "the most human of all humans" for persevering against impossible odds. However, the emotional toll of destroying Lostbelts—erasing worlds and former allies—later causes paralyzing guilt, particularly after the Russian Lostbelt. Patxi's sacrifice helps them regain resolve, though internal conflict persists. Ritsuka also fears replacement as a provisional Master yet remains committed to humanity's survival, inspired by Dr. Roman's dedication.

The anime *Fate/Grand Order: Fujimaru Ritsuka Doesn't Get It* amplifies Ritsuka's honesty and naiveté for comedic effect. Their straightforward questions frequently disrupt heroic spirits, leading to slapstick scenarios. For instance, they misinterpret Tsuna's combat skill as culinary advice, resulting in absurdly sliced food. The series uses traits like writer's block during mission reports to generate humor, such as reducing complex events to simplistic descriptors like "Fluffy" or "Super scary elephant." Interactions highlight mundane misuse of Noble Phantasms, like employing Cursed Arm Hassan's abilities to retrieve stuck objects. Despite the comedic tone, Ritsuka's core role as humanity's last Master remains acknowledged.
