Description
Shin Ichijō, born on the non-existent February 29, 2000, in Kanagawa Prefecture, played soccer before discovering Prism Shows. His life shifted on Tanabata Day, July 7th, when Louis Kisaragi gifted him a pendant and inspired him to see Over The Rainbow perform, igniting his dream to become a Prism Star like Hiro Hayami.

He enrolled at Edel Rose Academy under Himuro Hijiri's guidance. Starting as an average student, Shin displayed innate talent alongside his cheerful, optimistic personality. He was characterized by obedience toward respected figures, attentiveness, and genuine emotional honesty. Recognizing his potential, Over The Rainbow members Kōji Mihama, Hiro Hayami, and Kazuki Nishina entrusted him with uniting the disconnected academy. After Kōji challenged him to a Prism Battle and was impressed by Shin’s ability to evoke the audience’s primal wonder, Kōji gifted him the song "Over the Sunshine!".

During the Rose Party, as despair followed Over The Rainbow's hiatus announcement, Hijiri instructed Shin to perform "Over the Sunshine!" with Hiro and Kazuki. His Prism Show restored the audience's joy, solidifying his role as Edel Rose’s new hope. This signature ability, termed "Prism Rush," reignited primal excitement in spectators. His known Prism Jumps include "Shining Splash," "Shin Infinite Hug," and "Rising Sunshine."

Unbeknownst to Shin, the destructive Prism Messenger Shine, sealed within him by Louis (revealed as the Rinne-type messenger), resided within him. Shine, who shattered Prism Sparkle a millennium prior, was the source of Shin’s power, making him unable to perform jumps without this connection. Louis, conflicted over Shin’s love for Prism Shows, chose not to eliminate Shine. A dark crescent moon mark on Shin’s neck symbolized Shine’s presence.

Later, Shin entered high school at Kakyoin Academy as a first-year student. Over The Rainbow had disbanded and established a new agency. Amid preparations for the PRISM.1 championship—a new tournament proposed by Schwarz Rose leader Jin Norizuki—Shin navigated fresh challenges, including internal conflicts like Yukinojo Tachibana’s struggle between kabuki and Prism Shows. The rivalry between Edel Rose and Schwarz Rose intensified as Shin developed his skills.

Shin maintained a dislike for celery unless prepared by his peer Minato Takahashi. His journey consistently centered on unifying others through performances evoking foundational joy in Prism Shows.
