His survival hinges on resourcefulness honed by the household’s erratic care, as he scavenges meals and navigates challenges independently. Possessing sharp intellect, he outwits his owners, self-manages walks, safeguards the infant Himawari, and even journeys solo across cities. To bypass travel restrictions, he camouflages as a plush toy.

In rare instances, Shiro breaks the canine norm by speaking directly, humorously coaching Shinnosuke in absurd tricks like “chinchin kai-kai” and “wata-ame seijin.” His devotion to Himawari drives selfless acts, prioritizing her safety over his own.

A superheroic alter ego emerges in a spin-off: Super Shiro, Earth’s protector, quests for the “Bobobobobone” artifact. Donning a transformative badge and a commanding voice, he battles foes like Dekapoo, all while concealing his double life from the oblivious Noharas.

Born the same year as Shinnosuke, 5-year-old Shiro’s cotton-candy fluff and name (“white”) mirror his appearance.
