Description
Tohka Yatogami emerged as a unique Spirit when a Sephira Crystal, infused with love instead of the usual negative emotions, sparked her existence. Nameless until Shido Itsuka gifted her an identity, she first encountered humanity through hostility, particularly from the AST, fostering a guarded and icy disposition. Shido’s early kindness and introduction to life’s joys thawed her defenses, igniting her emotional awakening.

Her striking features include dark plum hair cascading into a partial ponytail secured by a ribbon, indigo-gold eyes, and a petite 155 cm frame. Her Astral Dress blends black, cream, and pink hues with armored accents, shifting to a frayed, darker aesthetic when wielding her sword, Halvanhelev. In her Inverse state, her hair gradients into dark purple and white, eyes glowing magenta, clad in violet-and-pink battle attire. A fusion with Tenka merges their Astral Dresses into asymmetrical armor and a winged halo.

Initially emotionally detached, Tohka blossomed into a lively, inquisitive soul after her powers were sealed, embracing human emotions yet grappling with jealousy, modesty, and love’s complexities. Her childlike zeal and love for kinako bread coexist with sharp intuition about others’ emotions, particularly Shido’s. Tenka, her Inverse counterpart, radiates pride and aggression, scornful of humans yet mirroring Tohka’s initial aloofness. Where Tenka thrives in combat with unabashed confidence, Tohka nurtures empathy, though both share a fierce protectiveness.

Enrolling at Raizen High alongside Shido, she navigated friendships and a rivalry with Origami, weathering post-sealing emotional turbulence with allies’ guidance. A pivotal Inversion erased memories of Shido, casting him as a foe and exposing her fragility. Later arcs saw her merge with Tenka to face existential threats and absorb Mio’s Sephira Crystal to safeguard collective happiness, cementing her selflessness.

Residing in a Ratatoskr apartment near Shido’s home, her proximity symbolizes her assimilation into human life. Her evolving rivalry with Origami and deepening grasp of love trace her journey from a battle-worn Spirit to a compassionate being embracing humanity.
