Description
Cain hails from a desolate future where Earth lies conquered and ruined by the Black Ghost organization. Survivors like Cain and his friends Rina, Mii, Phil, and Nichol developed psychic powers to endure. They initially traveled back in time aiming to prevent their dystopian future. However, witnessing humanity's violent history during the journey convinced Cain that aggression and conflict are mankind's inherent nature, leading him to abandon their mission.

The time travel process inflicted premature aging on Cain and his companions. Seeking reversal from former Black Ghost scientist Dr. Gamo Whisky, they instead had their memories erased and were transformed into psychic assassins, the Mutant Warriors. Cain became their leader and Dr. Gamo's right-hand operative. Though Cain later regained his memories, he chose to remain loyal to Dr. Gamo and the organization, culminating in him assassinating his former comrade Nichol when Nichol attempted to defect and seek help from the 00 Cyborgs.

Cain primarily leads the Mutant Warriors against the 00 Cyborg team. He personally confronts Cyborg 009 (Joe Shimamura) multiple times, consistently overpowering him in direct combat with his formidable psychic abilities. He demonstrates the capacity to loan portions of his power to other psychics, enabling actions like Mai warping Cyborg 009 and Lena to another era. Cain's philosophy centers on the conviction that violence defines humanity, which he articulates to justify his actions and loyalty to Black Ghost's goals.

His design features a bob-cut hairstyle with a bright red streak covering his right eye, while his left eye typically has a dark sunglasses-like lens; without it, his eyes are bright blue. He wears a black jumpsuit with purple markings, a yellow poncho, and a belt. This appearance was partially inspired by the Commander character from the original manga's "Immigration" arc, incorporating unique elements like the eye-covering mesh to avoid a half-mask motif.

Cain's story concludes during a confrontation where he reveals his regained memories and responsibility for Nichol's death to Lena. After being overpowered by Cyborg 009, Lena physically grabs him and uses her "sync warp" ability to transport him to an unknown point in time, leaving his ultimate fate unresolved.

His name references the Biblical Cain, who murdered his brother Abel, echoing his betrayal of Nichol. He is also identified by alternative names or titles including "Kain," "Kane," "The Commander," and "Noah" across different media.
