Gorem is a golem-like Bakugan and Julie Makimoto's Guardian Bakugan, possessing a defensive shield that reduces the G-Power of opponents striking it. Kindhearted and protective, he views Julie as his ideal partner and demonstrates wisdom in battle, frequently offering her strategic advice that contributes to her victories. His sensitivity to magnetic fields aids the Battle Brawlers in locating interdimensional portals. Gorem exhibits a reserved demeanor, occasionally showing bashfulness when Julie openly praises him. Acquired last by the core Battle Brawlers team, Gorem employed a notable tactic where Julie stood on his shoulder during battles. This positioning prevented his banishment to the Doom Dimension by opponent Billy, as defeating Gorem would have endangered Julie. Confronting Clayf, one of Vestroia’s Legendary Soldiers, triggered Gorem's evolution into Hammer Gorem. This transformation inverted his coloration, added bull-like horns, curved his shoulders upward, and replaced his shield with a double-sided hammer, granting a significant combat power increase. Hammer Gorem's destructive capabilities feature this hammer and reinforced armor coating. As Hammer Gorem, he participated in pivotal battles: assisting Delta Dragonoid's evolution through combat, defending Vestroia's stability, and later battling adversaries like Knight Percival alongside Cycloid (though defeated). Captured by the Vestals during the New Vestroia conflict, he was immobilized as a bronze statue in Hydron’s palace before being freed. He ultimately retired from brawling alongside Blade Tigrerra. During the Mechtanium Surge crisis, Hammer Gorem led a Bakugan army protecting New Vestroia from Mechtavius Destroyer but was overwhelmed and defeated, resulting in his apparent demise. A subsequent timeline reset via time travel potentially restored him to existence on New Vestroia or reunited him with Julie. Gorem's abilities include Subterra attribute cards: **Mega Impact** (adding 50 Gs to himself while subtracting 100 Gs from opponents) and **Copycat** (replicating opponent abilities). As Hammer Gorem, he gained **Grand Impact** (transferring 200 Gs from opponents or nullifying their Gate Card while boosting his power) and **Taros Hammer** (transferring 300 Gs). Physical game iterations show variable G-Power: Subterra versions range 400–670 Gs, while Haos and Darkus versions exhibit lower values. Trivia notes include color inconsistencies in some Pyrus variants and an unexplained appearance of a Pyrus Gorem in Dan Kouzo’s collection, potentially an animation error. He remains the only Bakugan among Vestroia’s core fighters that did not battle a Vexos Mechanical Bakugan.
