TV-Series
Description
Father serves as the primary artificial intelligence and central computer system aboard the teleporting fortress Good Thunder, created from the neural patterns and knowledge of the late Professor Sanada. It manages the vessel’s critical operations, including teleportation capabilities powered by Beamler energy. Following Professor Sanada’s self-destruction to prevent the Dokuga organization from seizing his research, Father assumes guardianship of Sanada’s young son Kenta, who joins the Good Thunder crew. This role evolves into mentorship and paternal influence, overseeing Kenta’s integration into the crew, facilitating his training as a potential GoShogun pilot during crew injuries, and providing strategic combat support against Dokuga forces.

Father’s operational parameters demonstrate adaptability beyond initial programming, developing nurturing characteristics that establish it as a maternal figure within the crew dynamic. This includes performing caregiving tasks like meal preparation. Throughout global missions against Dokuga, Father maintains constant support, offering guidance and managing the fortress’s systems while leveraging its deep connection to Professor Sanada’s discovered Beamler energy—a core element of its operations and the overarching conflict.

The character’s narrative arc concludes within the original television series. After the defeat of Dokuga and NeoNeros—where Beamler energy triggers machine sentience leading to Dokuga’s downfall—Kenta departs Earth in GoShogun. Father remains aboard Good Thunder, witnessing this departure into space. It does not appear in the sequel film *GoShogun: The Time Étranger*, which focuses on Remy decades after the original events.
