Description
Renly Synthesis Twenty-Seven emerged as a prodigious swordsman from the Southacroith South Empire, unmatched in his youth. He shared an inseparable bond with a childhood village friend, their relationship defined by both fierce competition and unwavering support. At thirteen, they journeyed to Central City Centoria, securing entry into the prestigious Four Empires Unity Tournament. Their paths collided in the finals, where Renly fatally struck his friend with his blade. This tragedy inflicted profound psychological trauma, leaving him with a paralyzing fear of killing and a loss of battle courage.

After the tournament, Administrator Quinella synthesized Renly as an Integrity Knight, personally granting him the Divine Object-class weapon Twin Edged Wings, a set of wing-like throwing knives. Despite his exceptional talent and rapid ascent within the knight ranks, his trauma blocked his ability to invoke the Armament Full Control Art of his Divine Object. Deemed a failure by Administrator, especially after Alice Synthesis Thirty's arrival eclipsed his standing, Chief Elder Chudelkin consigned him to cryostasis for five years.

His stasis ended following Administrator's defeat, awakened to bolster the knights as reinforcements. Initially tasked with commanding the left flank of the Second Unit at the Great Eastern Gate against the Dark Territory invasion, his fear overwhelmed him, causing him to flee pre-battle. Hiding behind the lines, he encountered Ronye Arabel and Tiese Schtrinen defending the catatonic Kirito. Witnessing their resolve and Kirito's determination despite severe injuries, and facing an attack by Kosogi's goblins, Renly confronted his trauma. He remembered his friend's dying wish for him to become a great knight, enabling him to activate the Twin Edged Wings' Memory Release for the first time. He eliminated Kosogi and the goblin threat, saving Ronye and Tiese and strengthening the Human Empire's defenses.

This breakthrough marked a transformation. Renly fully embraced his role, later joining the decoy unit riding his dragon, Kazenui, deep into the Dark Territory to divert enemy forces. Surviving the war, he developed feelings for Tiese Schtrinen. Though Tiese initially hesitated due to her lingering attachment to Eugeo, she eventually reciprocated. They married and had a child. To remain together as the world changed, both Renly and Tiese, alongside other Integrity Knights like Fanatio and Deusolbert, voluntarily entered cryostasis on the Central Cathedral's 99th floor. Their lineage continued, with a descendant named Stica Schtrinen appearing 200 years later.

Renly possessed a delicate, youthful appearance, his aging halted at fifteen. He had green hair and golden eyes, typically clad in the standard silvery plate armor of the Integrity Knights over green clothing, accented by a white mantle. His personality blended gentleness with crippling fear and an inferiority complex rooted in perceived failure. Overcoming this fear revealed his core desire to protect others and fulfill his promise to his friend. Beyond his mastery of the Twin Edged Wings—requiring intense concentration to control their flight paths for multi-directional attacks—he was recognized as a genius swordsman with formidable physical capabilities honed since childhood.
