Description
Gabriel Miller, born March 1998 in Los Angeles's Pacific Palisades, cultivated an early obsession with the soul after observing his father's insect collection. Witnessing a video of a decapitated praying mantis moving during mating intensified this fascination, leading him to conduct secret insect experiments to locate their "soul." He concluded an insect's soul was distributed throughout its body, but believed the human soul resided solely in the brain. This theory culminated in the 2008 murder of his childhood friend Alicia Klingerman, where he perceived a "glittering cloud" leaving her forehead, solidifying his fixation on capturing the human soul.

His pursuit extended to FullDive technology, particularly Japan's Soul Translator (STL), which he believed could interface directly with the soul. Adopting the alias "Subtilizer" in *Gun Gale Online* (GGO), he became a legendary player known for unconventional combat. He won the 1st BoB tournament using only a knife and handgun, and the 4th BoB carrying no weapons, relying instead on the «Army Combatative» skill to grapple opponents, steal their weapons, and kill them. His ability to predict enemy movements allowed him to ambush targets at extremely close range before they could react.

When the National Security Agency recruited his company to assault the Ocean Turtle facility and seize the STL, he volunteered to lead the operation. His motivation stemmed from the STL's capability to duplicate human souls, aligning with his lifelong goal of witnessing and capturing them. During the *Alicization* arc, he infiltrated the virtual world «Underworld» as the Dark God Vecta, seeking to consume souls, particularly targeting Kirito's. His nihilistic philosophy manifested in this role, viewing souls as mere objects to be harvested.

His personality exhibits a complete absence of empathy, evident in his childhood experiments, Alicia's murder, and later actions in both real and virtual worlds. His GGO account password, "Yastgutdwiiys," is an acronym for "You aren't supposed to give up the demon who is in your soul," reflecting his internalized malevolence. In *Underworld*, his actions as Vecta demonstrated his desire to dominate and consume souls, driven by the same childhood fixation.
