Description
Cow Girl is the childhood friend of the protagonist and a farmhand who lives and works on her uncle's ranch just outside the town that serves as the main setting for the story. Her name reflects her occupation and simple, pastoral life. She has red eyes and medium-length red hair, which she once wore long but later cut short on the advice of another character. Her build is tall and athletic from years of physical labor, though she is sometimes self-conscious about her strength and her developed figure, which she inherited from her mother.

At the start of the narrative, Cow Girl is eighteen years old and generally presents a cheerful, bright, and kind demeanor. However, this outward warmth masks a history of deep emotional trauma. She carries the heavy burden of being one of only two survivors from her home village, which was destroyed by goblins when she was a child. Her survival was due to chance; she had been sent to help with a cow birth at her uncle’s farm on the very day of the attack. Following the tragedy, she was adopted by her uncle and spent years living a secluded life at the ranch. During this time, she struggled with intense survivor's guilt and became withdrawn, especially regretting a childish argument she had with her friend right before the disaster that claimed their families. Her more positive and sunny personality only fully returned after reuniting with her friend and slowly rebuilding her connections to the world.

Five years before the main events of the story, Cow Girl spotted and recognized her childhood friend, who had since become an adventurer known for his obsessive mission to kill goblins. Despite his masked face and changed demeanor, she was overjoyed and persuaded her uncle to let him stay at the ranch, which has since become his base of operations when he is not on quests. This reunion was a turning point that allowed her to gradually heal from her depression. To better understand his dangerous world and break out of her isolation, she began making deliveries to the Adventurer's Guild. This simple act slowly expanded her social circle, and she formed friendships with other characters, including the guild's receptionist and a priestess who frequently accompanies her friend on adventures.

Cow Girl’s role in the narrative is largely that of an anchor to a peaceful, normal life. She represents a home and a future that exists outside of endless combat and goblin slaying. Her personality is marked by a strong, quiet determination. She is deeply caring and serves as a dedicated caretaker for her friend, often worrying about his unhealthy obsession and fragile mental state. She is one of the few people who knows what he looks like under his helmet and is able to see the person he was before the tragedy. She is honest about her romantic feelings for him and is not embarrassed when others mistake them for a married couple, though she patiently restrains herself, understanding that he still has many emotional issues to work through. At the same time, she has a supportive yet firm will, clearly seeing other women in his life as romantic rivals while still treating them with fairness and integrity.

Despite her traumatic past, Cow Girl possesses a notable amount of courage and resolve. When a large horde of goblins threatened to attack the ranch, she refused to evacuate to safety, determined to protect the farm that she considers the only home left for both herself and her companion. In terms of practical abilities, she is far from helpless. Years of ranch work have given her significant physical strength, enabling her to pull a heavily loaded cart with minimal effort on her own. She is also an excellent cook, and her signature stew is the protagonist’s favorite meal, acting as a small but meaningful comfort in his otherwise grim life. Her development throughout the story is a journey of moving from a state of withdrawn guilt and sorrow to one of active engagement with life, finding purpose in protecting her home and the person she cares for most.
