Originally brought there with other insects for unspecified human experiments, he discovers the station abandoned by humans without explanation, leaving its inhabitants with dwindling resources and no clear path home.

Upon awakening, Midge emerges as proactive and determined. He encourages fellow insects Doc, a cricket, and Marbo, a trapdoor spider, to escape their confined area. His immediate goal is locating the station's farm module, believing it offers access to other survivors and essential food supplies.
