Description
Amane Kaunaq began her career as the galaxy's foremost supermodel, representing her family's leading fashion house. Her modeling missions earned her the title "The Zero Goddess" for never encountering space pirates. Chafing at perceptions of nepotism and driven to prove herself independently, she left modeling to join the Galaxy Police, a choice that fractured her relationship with her tradition-bound father.

Her recruitment of Seina Yamada was accidental. While delivering a package to Tenchi Masaki's residence, her spacecraft crashed into a nearby lake, nearly drowning Seina. Reviving him, she assumed he was connected to the Masaki family and gave him a Galaxy Police application. This breached regulations prohibiting recruitment from underdeveloped worlds like Earth, halting her promotion to Detective First Class. She was reassigned as an instructor at the Galaxy Police Academy alongside Kiriko Masaki.

Amane lived with Seina during his academy training at one of her secondary residences, which also housed Kiriko and the undercover space pirate Ryoko Balta. Her romantic interest in Seina manifested through uninhibited flirtation, contrasting with Kiriko's reserved demeanor and igniting rivalry. She served as tactical officer and gunner on the pirate-decoy ship Kamidake, captained by Seina. After its destruction, she transferred to the advanced Kamidake II, crafted by Washu with the cabbit Fuku as its core system.

Her relationship with Seina culminated in a political marriage arranged by Jurai's Seto Kamiki Jurai, including Kiriko, Ryoko Balta, Neju Na Melmas, and Fuku. During the ceremony, Seina was abducted by Hakuren, Gyokuren, Karen, and Suiren, who also married him. Amane ultimately formalized her union with Seina alongside the other brides.

In later events, Amane participated in discussions about Kenshi Masaki's mission to Geminar, traveling temporarily to Earth with Gyokuren. She maintained connections across the universe, including friendships with Mihoshi Kuramitsu, Noike Kamiki Jurai, and the philosopher Raireza. Her family retained ties to influential entities like the Kuramitsu family of Seniwa and Washu, who revealed instructing Amane's grandfather over 5,000 years prior.

Amane's name derives from the Japanese words for "rain" (雨) and "sound" (音). Before meeting Seina, she rejected numerous suitors, often physically repelling them; the sole exception later transitioned genders and became engaged to Amane's brother.
