Description
Tokimi stands among the three omnidimensional sister goddesses, the Choushin, alongside Washu and Tsunami. Together, they forged the universe and its multiple dimensions. For countless millennia, Tokimi remained within the higher dimensions while her sisters descended into the third dimension, deliberately generating abnormalities in the universal fabric to provoke the emergence of a theoretical being surpassing their own power.

Her experiments involved manipulating subspace fields and employing agents like Dr. Clay to capture Washu for study. One manipulation granted Z the power to generate Light Hawk Wings, leading Tokimi to take him as a servant. Z, however, proved unstable and rebellious, ultimately attempting to kill Tenchi Masaki—the individual Tokimi's sisters believed might be the higher power they sought.

During Z's confrontation with Tenchi near Saturn, Tokimi intervened. Her intervention was thwarted by Z's alliance with the "Counter-Actor," a sentient counter-force to the Choushin manifesting as a demonic Empress Misaki. This entity nearly strangled Tokimi until Tenchi's ascended form calmed it. Following this, Tokimi expressed regret over her lack of connection with Z and restored him and his loved ones to normal human lives.

After these events, Tokimi frequently manifested in a diminutive "chibi" form at the Masaki residence, displaying a more playful and ironic personality. She cited depleted power as the reason for this form, noting she would regain her stature only upon reuniting with her sisters. She attended Nobuyuki and Rea Masaki's wedding, occupying the "resident kami" section of the Masaki shrine and cryptically stating her presence held a purpose.

Tokimi later oversaw the transport of Tenchi's half-brother, Kenshi Masaki, to the world of Geminar. She promised to save his life if mortally threatened but forbade his return afterward. She bestowed a heart-shaped charm into Kenshi's body, implied to grant temporary access to a Light Hawk Sword. Fan theories suggested Kenshi might be Z's reincarnation and Geminar his homeworld, though these remain unconfirmed.

She intervened again when Noike Kamiki Jurai's cells showed tampering by Dr. Clay, extracting a parasitic entity (revealed as Kagato's discarded female half) and returning it cleansed to Noike.

As the Choushin's designated Battlemaster, Tokimi held the authority to limit her sisters' power in lower dimensions, implying her combat superiority. This limiter was removed during the events of OVA 3, though the subsequent power balance among the sisters remained unclear. Prophecy foresaw that Washu and Tsunami would eventually convince Tokimi to fully descend to their dimension, adopting an obstinate "little sister" persona before embracing her new existence.

Tokimi maintained a unique connection to Geminar, where time flowed differently. A gate in Geminar's Holy Land was built in her likeness, and her essence was linked to temporal manipulation, suggesting her experiments influenced that world's divergent timeline.
