Traveling alongside companions, he crosses paths with the Marina Group—a family of aquatic performers specializing in Water-type Pokémon—and Jackie, a skilled Pokémon Ranger entrusted with delivering Manaphy’s egg to its destined sanctuary. When the egg hatches under the care of Satoshi’s friend May, Manaphy forms an inseparable connection with her.

Tasked with thwarting Phantom, a ruthless pirate intent on exploiting Manaphy’s power to claim the Sea Crown—a sacred artifact within Samiya—Satoshi devises strategies to outmaneuver his adversary. After Phantom sabotages the temple, triggering a catastrophic flood, Satoshi races to realign the scattered jewels of the Sea Crown. Venturing into a collapsing chamber, he secures the final jewel, ensuring May, Pikachu, and Manaphy’s safety within an air capsule before diving back into danger to stabilize the temple.

As Samiya ascends, Satoshi momentarily vanishes amid the chaos, only to resurface charged with the Sea Crown’s energy. Harnessing this newfound strength, he confronts Phantom, reclaims Manaphy, and aids in the pirate’s decisive defeat. His efforts secure Manaphy’s reunion with Samiya, highlighting Satoshi’s unwavering resolve and selflessness in safeguarding both allies and legendary Pokémon.
