Description
Lucifer, eldest of seven demon brothers and Avatar of Pride, serves as right-hand man to Devildom's future king, Lord Diavolo—a role bound by a pact forged millennia ago. This loyalty traces back to his celestial origins as the high-ranking angel "The Morning Star." He led a rebellion against God following his sister Lilith's condemnation for loving a human, triggering the Great Celestial War and their banishment to the Devildom. During this fall, Lucifer's unadulterated rage manifested as a separate entity, Satan, effectively his "son" though referred to as a brother.

In the Devildom, Lucifer pleaded with Diavolo to save the gravely injured Lilith. Diavolo reincarnated her as a human in exchange for Lucifer's absolute fealty. Lucifer concealed this truth from his brothers, letting them believe Lilith perished, and bore the burden of their eternal separation alone. This history fuels his profound fear of returning to the Celestial Realm after death.

Physically, Lucifer is tall with black hair, red-gradient eyes, and red-painted nails. His demon form reveals four black wings, curled horns, a forehead diamond birthmark, and attire featuring peacock feather motifs. Casual wear favors formal clothes with a fur-lined coat, while his Human World disguise incorporates glasses. Personality-wise, he presents calm and intimidating, fiercely protective and enforcing strict discipline on his brothers—especially Mammon—through sadistic punishments, an overprotectiveness often manifesting as control. Beneath the pride and aloofness lies genuine care; he engages in subtle teasing and sacrifices personal comfort for their well-being. His interests include classical music (particularly cursed records), theatre, and playing instruments like piano, violin, and guitar. He dislikes mornings and dismisses technopop as "cacophonous bleep-bloop music."

His relationship with the human exchange student (MC) begins with cold distrust, perceiving them as a threat. Early interactions involve threats and warnings, especially when MC investigates the attic imprisoning Belphegor; Lucifer obstructs access citing danger. He later attempts intimidation during a dance suspecting ulterior motives behind their pacts with his brothers. Over time, as MC proves trustworthy and a positive influence on his siblings, his demeanor softens into respect and eventual romantic interest. Devilgram stories and main story developments depict this evolution, including intimate moments like a kiss upon MC's Devildom departure. His dynamic with Diavolo remains deeply loyal, yet fuels persistent brotherly speculation about a romantic connection—a notion Lucifer denies.

His bond with Satan remains fraught due to Satan's origin from his wrath. Though Lucifer actively nurtured Satan's development beyond pure anger, Satan resents being perceived as a "fragment" of Lucifer, leading to rebellious acts. Lucifer responds with guilt, competitive tolerance, and underlying care, eventually affirming Satan as his brother and distinct individual. Lucifer's character development centers on gradually lowering emotional barriers. His initial coldness toward MC thaws into protectiveness and affection. He demonstrates increasing willingness to express vulnerability, like blushing during intimate moments with MC, and works to reconcile fraught relationships, particularly with Satan, acknowledging their separate identities.
