Description
In the anime adaptation of Shin Megami Tensei Devil Children, Lucifer is depicted as a powerful and ambitious demon who serves as a mid-boss antagonist. His ultimate goal is to conquer the demon world by using his magical influence to corrupt good devils, turning them into evil beings, a process that also spills over and affects the real world. Physically, Lucifer appears as a red humanoid figure with a muscular build, black hair, yellow eyes, prominent horns, and a black scar running across his face. His chest bears a wing tattoo, and his ribs, arms, and lower body are wrapped in impaling chain links, giving him a menacing and otherworldly appearance.

Personality-wise, Lucifer is cunning, driven, and manipulative, relying on his supernatural power to achieve domination rather than directly confronting his enemies when he can instead subvert them. His motivations stem from a desire for control over the demon world and the expansion of his influence into the human realm. In the story, he operates as a formidable obstacle for the young protagonists, the devil children, who must oppose his schemes and prevent the corruption of their world. His key relationships are primarily adversarial, though he may also serve as a summoner of certain protagonists (such as in the Dark Version game storyline that inspired the anime, where he calls upon the child Akira to eradicate interdimensional portals). Over the course of the narrative, Lucifer does not undergo significant personal development; he remains a consistent and dangerous force whose defeat is essential to restoring balance. Notable abilities include his capacity to magically twist the nature of good devils, turning them into evil servants, as well as general demonic combat prowess and resilience befitting his high rank among demons.
