Born to King Iasus of Arcadia in Greek myth, Atalante was abandoned as an infant because her father desired a son. Divine intervention saved her; Artemis sent a female bear to suckle her. Later discovered and raised by hunters, she grew into a peerless huntress. Her legend includes sailing with the Argonauts and joining the Calydonian Boar hunt, where she drew first blood yet unintentionally ignited a fatal conflict among the male hunters. Her vow of chastity to Artemis was broken when she lost a footrace determining her marriage, distracted by golden apples supplied by Aphrodite. This deepened her ingrained distrust of men. Physically, she possesses animal-like ears and a tail, symbols of a curse, which she nevertheless displays fondness for, and is often seen in green attire. Her upbringing forged a pragmatic worldview and severe outlook on life and death. Profoundly dedicated to protecting abandoned children, stemming from her own trauma, her wish to the Holy Grail is the universal salvation of all children, prioritized above her own life. She maintains a strict stance against child abusers and the unfaithful. Beyond her inability to have children due to her vow, she expresses no personal regrets. Within the "Fate/Grand Carnival" ensemble cast, Atalante appears in cameo roles. Her involvement includes participation in the opening theme song "Super☆Affection," performed alongside other heroic spirits. Her established traits from other Fate media, such as her protective nature toward children and connection to Artemis, remain consistent. However, the comedic segments of this spin-off provide no specific narrative arcs, dialogues, character development moments, or substantive contributions to plotlines like the Chaldea Olympics, host club escapades, or ServantTube segments.
