OVA
Description
Daisuke Jigen functions as a supporting character in the OVA *Lupin the 3rd: Green vs Red*, engaging with numerous impostors claiming to be Arsène Lupin III. This includes Yasuo, a pickpocket who assumes Lupin’s green jacket and identity after obtaining them from an enigmatic elderly man. Jigen temporarily allies with Yasuo during his Lupin impersonation, facilitating his operations. At one point, Jigen confronts an imposter with the pointed question, "Since when are you Japanese, huh?", subtly reinforcing the longstanding ambiguity surrounding Lupin’s true nationality.

Jigen takes part in the climactic theft of the "Ice Cube" diamond prototype, orchestrated by Yasuo and Fujiko Mine. Post-heist, he and Fujiko visit the elderly bookseller who supplied Yasuo’s green jacket. Jigen acknowledges the bookseller’s contribution with a "good job", implying the bookseller may be Lupin III himself and suggesting Jigen’s awareness of the scheme to transfer the Lupin legacy to Yasuo. He later departs Tokyo alongside a red-jacketed Lupin, further indicating his involvement in or endorsement of the succession.

Visually, Jigen’s design in this OVA mirrors his appearance in *The Castle of Cagliostro* and later *Part 2* episodes, featuring a smaller mouth and refined facial details. He consistently wears his trademark broad-brimmed fedora and upholds his role as a pragmatic, expert gunman amid the narrative’s themes of identity and legacy.
