Description
Hinata, an elementary school student, is artistically talented and introverted. His vivid imagination frequently manifests through detailed drawings and daydreams. Shyness makes communication difficult, especially with his admired classmate Shigure. This admiration quietly evolves into romantic affection, which he keeps private, channeling it solely into his artwork and imaginative scenarios instead of words.

A mutual interest in birds draws them together as they tend the school aviary, facilitating their initial friendship after Shigure notices Hinata's drawings. Despite growing closer, Hinata finds verbal expression of his deeper feelings challenging. His emotional state wavers between hopeful anticipation during their interactions and anxiety about revealing his true sentiments.

A significant shift occurs when Shigure's family announces a move to another town, forcing separation. On her departure day, Hinata resolves internally to overcome his reticence and confess. This determination drives him into a physical pursuit of her departing train. During this chase, reality blends with his imagination: his bicycle transforms into a bird, and the urban landscape morphs into a fantastical aerial environment. This sequence symbolizes both his desperate urgency and the liberation of his suppressed emotions.

His development culminates in this pursuit, marking a transition from passive daydreaming to active confrontation of his fears. The resolution hinges on his attempt at emotional confession, though the outcome remains ambiguous within the narrative.
