Description
Mii, also known as Little My, features in the 1972 Japanese anime series *New Moomin* (*Shin Mūmin*), a sequel to the 1969 *Moomin* anime. Produced by Zuiyo Enterprise and Mushi Production, this adaptation reinterprets Tove Jansson's original Moomin books through altered characterizations and plotlines.

In this series, Mii presents as a small, ginger-haired girl sporting an onion-shaped top knot hairstyle. Her signature outfit consists of a yellow smock paired with a red bow tie, diverging from the red smock and magenta trousers typical in other adaptations; instead, she dons white bloomers. Her personality sharply contrasts with earlier portrayals: depicted as markedly younger and more immature, she speaks in a high-pitched, whiny tone and habitually throws tantrums or cries. This departure from the character’s traditionally level-headed, cunning, and sarcastic traits aligns with the anime’s broader emphasis on dramatic, moralistic storytelling and amplified fantasy elements.

The series includes the episode "Is Mee Tender?" (episode 16), suggesting potential exploration of her character dynamics. *New Moomin* spans 52 episodes, concluding with "Farewell, Moomin Valley."
