Almanfi, called Almanfi of the Bright, is a spirit familiar crafted by the Armored Dragon King Perugius Dola through summoning magic pioneered by Perugius’ mother, Dragon King Dora, during the Six-Faced World era. Designed as a loyal subordinate to fulfill precise missions, he operates under Perugius as a scout, sentinel, and combat auxiliary.
His appearance blends elegance and practicality: blonde hair swept into a ponytail near his right ear, a vivid yellow fox mask obscuring his face, and a crisp white buttoned blazer paired with tailored pants. A double-edged short sword rests horizontally at his lower back, gripped in a reverse stance to complement his swift, agile fighting style.
Almanfi’s signature ability allows him to dissolve into light, teleporting instantly to any visible location—a power ideal for reconnaissance and ambushes. This form prohibits offensive actions, forcing him to solidify before attacking. Though capable of rivaling the Sword King Ghislaine in skill and evading techniques like the Longsword of Light, his combat efficacy hinges on strategic timing. Destruction in battle merely returns him to Perugius’ floating fortress, the Chaos Breaker, where he regenerates.
Unflinchingly loyal, Almanfi serves as Perugius’ "eye," boasting both pride in his duties and a flamboyant communication style marked by grand declarations. He uniquely detects reincarnations of the ancient Laplace through observation. A linguistic mishap once led Rudeus Greyrat to accidentally summon him by misinterpreting "Bright" (光輝, *kōki*) as "dignified" (高貴, *kōki*), though Rudeus swiftly dissolved the contract.
While invaluable for reconnaissance and mobility, Almanfi’s reliance on light-based movement and physical-form constraints render him susceptible to clever tactics, as shown when a young Rudeus outmaneuvered him. These vulnerabilities balance his strengths, cementing his role as a specialized operative rather than a primary combatant within Perugius’ arsenal.
