Description
An Ayakashi fox spirit dwelling in Yoshibara's red-light district, Ginko works as a courtesan entertaining male patrons for payment. Her prolonged tenure in this role contrasts with her eternally youthful, beautiful appearance—a consequence of her non-human essence. Descending from supernatural origins into the human world, she first encountered a boy named Yuujiro after he saved her life, marking him as the initial human she ever witnessed. During their shared childhood, Yuujiro became the recipient of her profound affection. Convinced a human-Youkai romance was both forbidden and perilous for Yuujiro, Ginko fled abruptly to shield him, ultimately seeking sanctuary as a courtesan.
Years later, Ginko reunites unexpectedly with Yuujiro when he arrives at her establishment as a traveling peddler. She instantly recognizes the grown man as her childhood love. Yuujiro had deliberately chosen peddling to traverse regions searching for her, never having forgotten Ginko. Their reunion reignites her suppressed emotions, compelling her to invite him into her private quarters. Despite deep-seated fears over the dangers of their interspecies bond, she permits a single night of emotional and physical intimacy.
Ginko’s inner conflict perpetually balances enduring love for Yuujiro against her conviction that her supernatural identity makes their connection inherently hazardous. This tension governs her actions—from her initial departure to her guarded re-engagement during their reunion.
