Description
Archère Elfe is a two-thousand-year-old high elf, still considered youthful among her kind. She hails from a sheltered elven forest territory, where her curiosity about the wider world blossomed alongside her singing practice, ultimately compelling her toward adventuring. Her older sister, the Forest Princess, imparted deep knowledge of nature, while a cousin trained her in archery and wilderness traversal. Defying family objections, she embarked on her journey with only her cousin's backing.
She possesses a tall, slender frame and long green hair, cut short in front and long in back, featuring two side braids. Her elongated ears clearly mark her high elf lineage. Her typical attire is practical: a green sleeveless archer's corset, shorts, uneven black gloves, knee-high boots, and a hood. For combat, she adds a black sleeve on her left arm as an arm guard.
Her personality blends youthful exuberance with occasional hot-tempered outbursts, especially when consuming alcohol – a substance she avoids due to low tolerance. Initially naive about the world's harsh realities, her first mission alongside Goblin Slayer exposed her to goblin brutality, including the torture of an elven captive. This experience inflicted deep trauma and hatred toward goblins, shattering her romanticized view of adventure. Despite this, she retains an idealistic core, frequently clashing with Goblin Slayer over his ruthless methods and with Dwarf Shaman during their travels.
Her primary combat skill is archery, wielding a great bow with a spider-silk string and a secondary shortbow for confined spaces. She demonstrates exceptional accuracy, capable of curving arrow trajectories and firing multiple arrows simultaneously. Additional abilities include trap detection, lock picking, fluency in elven and common tongues, and enhanced hearing for reconnaissance. During the northern mountain mission against the Goblin Paladin, she adapted tactics for snowy environments and close-quarters combat. Her equipment includes a waist quiver, reclaimed arrows to avoid crude goblin-made versions, and two multipurpose knives.
Her character develops through sequential adventures:
After the initial goblin nest mission, she resolves to show Goblin Slayer "true" adventures while acknowledging the necessity of his methods.
In Water Town's sewers, she survives capture and near-assault by goblins, leading to reluctant gratitude toward Dwarf Shaman for her rescue.
During a festival defense, she efficiently eliminates goblins using pre-set traps and assists in defeating the Dark Elf by disrupting his incantation with a precise arrow shot.
Her daily life reveals domestic challenges and cultural misunderstandings, such as rejecting underwear for comfort and struggling with household chores.
In the Goblin Paladin arc, she sustains an injury from goblins mimicking her own arrow-retrieval tactics, demonstrating their evolving intelligence. She expresses frustration when assigned a "female hostage" role during infiltration but participates for tactical necessity. After the Noble Fencer compromises their mission by acting independently, High Elf Archer assists in rescuing prisoners and sabotaging goblin supplies.
Later, she mentors rookie adventurers, acknowledging Priestess's growth by following her leadership during a goblin hunt despite the Priestess's initial rank-test failure.
She invites her party to her sister's wedding celebration, indicating sustained connections to elven society.
Her relationships feature playful rivalries with Dwarf Shaman, protective mentorship of Priestess, and bonding with Guild Girl over shared leisure activities. While frequently exasperated by Goblin Slayer's obsessive focus on goblins, she respects his expertise and remains a committed party member.
