Description
Misa Aoi, a serious and withdrawn student at Asakusa Girls High School, possesses waist-length purple hair threaded with violet streaks, uneven bangs, and light blue eyes. She displays frustration with malfunctioning equipment, like kicking a jet racing simulator during a solo session.

Previously a jet racing shooter in middle school, she quit due to self-doubt stemming from comparisons to her older sister Risa, a top racer forced into retirement by injury. To distance herself from the sport, Misa enrolled in a school without an active jet racing club.

Her disposition shifts after encountering new transfer student Rin Namiki. Despite initial avoidance, Misa gradually forms a jet racing partnership with Rin, serving as the shooter while Rin pilots. She demonstrates strategic thinking and provides crucial cover fire during competitions.

Misa's development centers on her evolving bond with Rin. She exhibits jealousy when others show Rin affection, reacting with irritation to gestures like Jennifer Peach's hugs. She competes intensely with Rin for a matching dolphin keychain during an outing and voices disappointment when Rin visits tourist spots without her. Misa acts protectively, defending Rin from teasing in public settings.

Her emotional growth includes increased physical affection toward Rin: hugging her when crying, grabbing her arm upon departure, and embracing her from behind during fear. Misa frequently blushes and experiences shyness in response to Rin's closeness, like when Rin sniffs her scent, jumps on her after races, or requests to share a bed. She comforts Rin during academic setbacks by allowing her to rest her head on her lap.

Through the partnership, Misa overcomes her reluctance to race competitively, eventually confiding in Rin about her insecurities regarding her sister's legacy. This culminates in their victory at the Kandagawa Cup, defeating top teams including the Sea Serpents, resolving her self-doubt as she fully commits to jet racing alongside Rin.
