Description
Misa Aoi is a first-year student at Asakusa Girls High School and the younger sister of Risa Aoi. She serves as the shooter on the Kandagawa Jet Girls team, partnering with Rin Namiki as the jetter. Her appearance includes long purple hair with violet streaks, an unevenly trimmed fringe, and icy light blue eyes. She typically wears casual clothing such as shorts and a pale blue hoody. Her birthday is July 13.

Misa initially presents an indifferent and somewhat withdrawn demeanor. She is not particularly talkative and prefers keeping to herself, often described as an introvert with a cool and aggressive personality. This aloofness is illustrated early on when she enters a room marked with a do not enter sign without hesitation and practices a Kandagawa simulation alone. When the simulation begins to glitch, she kicks the machine in frustration, showing a quick temper and a low tolerance for annoyance.

Her motivation for jet racing waned after middle school, and she had decided to quit the sport entirely. This changes when Rin Namiki transfers to Asakusa and rekindles Misa’s interest through passionate determination. Initially conflicted about racing with Rin, Misa gradually grows fond of her new partner, and the two form a strong bond through competition. Over the course of the story, Misa’s personality softens; she becomes more open and even timid around Rin, who is the only person able to make her shy. At one point she nervously asks Rin out on a Sunday date and becomes flustered when Rin cuddles her.

Her primary role in the story is as Rin’s shooter, a position that requires precision and teamwork. As the series progresses, Misa develops from a reluctant, solitary racer into a committed teammate who values her partnership with Rin. Her notable abilities include skilled marksmanship with the water gun used in jet races, and a deep, albeit buried, passion for the sport that emerges through her connection with Rin. Her relationship with her older sister Risa also influences her character, though the two are not as close initially. Through the races and her growing feelings for Rin, Misa undergoes significant personal growth, becoming more expressive and willing to rely on others.
