Description
Takamasa Kujō, adoptive father of Tenn and Aya, secured guardianship by settling Riku Nanase’s medical expenses and erasing Aya’s adoptive family’s debts. Once the stage producer behind the iconic idol Zero, he obsessively seeks to cultivate a successor who can eclipse Zero’s legacy—a mission fueled by lingering turmoil from their fractured past. His strategies exploit financial desperation and psychological manipulation, targeting vulnerable figures like Sōgo’s uncle and Yuki, the latter ensnared through a staged accident to sever her support systems.

Charismatic yet restrained in professional settings, Kujō oscillates between theatricality and emotional detachment. He remains oblivious to the ripple effects of his schemes, his actions dictated by an unresolved clash of admiration and bitterness toward Zero. Though quick to dismiss those lacking “talent,” he recognizes a mirrored ambition in Tsumugi Takanashi, deeming her a rare equal.

Zero’s abrupt exit left Kujō haunted by abandonment, warping his relationships into tools for crafting his ideal idol. Tenn and Aya witness his isolation and fractured psyche, with Tenn sacrificing his own aspirations to shield others from Kujō’s escalating ruthlessness. Rivalries stoked by Kujō’s machinations—notably with Gaku Yaotome, who defiantly resists his tactics—expose his unraveling control, threatening both his family and the idol industry’s equilibrium.

His history of transactional “rescues,” including Tenn and Aya’s adoption, masks emotional exploitation, reinforcing his incapacity for authentic bonds. Yet the siblings persist in seeking reconciliation, clinging to fragmented empathy beneath his calculated exterior.

Kujō’s interference intensifies central conflicts, from Riku’s fraught debut to the fissures between Tenn and his blood relatives. As an antagonist, his denial of inner wounds and refusal to acknowledge collateral damage perpetuate cycles of strife, cementing his role as a destabilizing force within personal and professional realms alike.
