They discovered he frequented a poetry club, a hobby culminating in a public recital they attended, resolving the misunderstanding. He worries about Naoko's uncontrollable dinosaur transformations, the resulting destruction, and her emotional struggles. On one occasion, the insult-prone sentient rattlesnake puppet Elizabeth targeted him, attempting to eat him. He displays fear towards Yuririn, the owner of the Cat Diner who intimidates Elizabeth.
