TV-Series
Description
Papa is the father of the twin bear sisters Lulu and Lolo and a supporting figure in their family, which also includes Mama and Grandma. He is part of the girls' everyday world, appearing in their daily routines and joining the family on outings such as trips to the seaside, where the twins play, swim, and explore together with their parents and grandmother. At home, Papa is one of the adults the girls help with chores, and the family works together on cooking, cleaning, and other small tasks of daily life.

In personality, Papa is affectionate and good-natured, but he is not always careful. In one notable story, the twins build a pretty castle and Papa accidentally bumps into it and breaks it, which upsets the girls so much that they declare they hate Papa. Instead of leaving the matter alone, he takes care to fix the castle, and the twins move from anger back to love, in a story that travels from I hate Papa to I love Papa. This moment captures much of his character: he can cause small disappointments without meaning to, but he is willing to make amends, and the bond between him and his daughters is one of ordinary ups and downs, honest feelings, and easy reconciliation.

Papa's motivation is rooted in being a caring parent. He takes part in his daughters' activities, supports the family, and repairs things when he has caused harm. His relationship with Lulu and Lolo is close and affectionate, and other stories playfully explore details such as his strength, which the twins wonder about, and the mild frustrations and fondness they feel toward him. He does not undergo major change over the course of the series; instead, he serves as a steady and dependable presence in the girls' world, and his notable qualities include his physical strength and his readiness to fix what has gone wrong, both of which make him a reliable figure for his children.
