TV-Series
Description
Butler serves as primary butler to the Witch of Delays and functions as the hidden main antagonist. His golden seahorse form displays a grey mohawk, multicolored horns, and blue eyes. He typically wears a tuxedo without pants, featuring a savoy blue bow tie and matching vest. In his youth as a knight, he possessed blue hair and bulky yellow armor. When transformed into a Yaraneeda, he becomes an orange giant with curved multicolored horns, dark yellowish spiky hair, and additional head and hip fins.
Butler initially maintains a calm demeanor with a poker face but acts demanding and strict toward his subordinates—Chongire, Numeri, and Elda. Beneath this facade, he exhibits extreme cunning, cruelty, and ambition. His loyalty to the Witch of Delays is blind yet manipulative; he secretly orchestrates her plans to destroy the world using the Fool's Casket, a relic powered by stolen Motivation Power. He withholds critical information from his subordinates and exploits them without concern for their well-being. His motivations stem from a desire to create a world devoid of motivation, believing this serves the Witch's interests while disregarding her eventual change of heart.
His history reveals long-standing service to the Witch. Early in the series, he directs his subordinates to steal Motivation Power and captures Laura to lure the Pretty Cure. Key actions include infiltrating Grand Ocean, kidnapping the Mermaid Queen, and creating illusions to trap the Cures. During this event, he steals the crucial Marine Ring—summoned by the Cures' sincerity—though it is later reclaimed by the Legendary Cure. In the climax, Butler successfully drains Motivation Power from nearly an entire city using a blue whale Yaraneeda, damaging Cure La Mer's Mermaid Aqua Pot.
When Chongire questions his methods, Butler forcibly transforms him into a Yaraneeda, horrifying Numeri and Elda. After the Witch of Delays abandons her destructive plans upon reconciling with Cure Oasis, Butler rejects her redemption. He absorbs his subordinates' Motivation Power to transform into a Yaraneeda, intending to complete the world's destruction himself. In the final battle, he overpowers the combined efforts of the Pretty Cure and the reformed subordinates until purified by their Super Tropical Paradise attack. Defeated but unrepentant, Butler expends his last Motivation Power in a futile attempt to activate the Fool's Casket, leaving him permanently weakened. He is last seen under Elda's care.
Butler wields a cane proficiently, firing energy blasts. Like other villains, he summons Yaraneedas by hurling dark energy orbs to drain Motivation Power. His abilities escalate in his Yaraneeda form, including enhanced strength and energy projection.
