Description
Mina, a vampire born in an Averoigne village near the castle of Noé Archiviste, Louis de Sade, and Dominique de Sade, grew up alongside her village friends Fred, Gilles, and Fanny. The group frequently explored the surrounding forests. During these childhood adventures, Mina and her friends encountered the castle-dwelling children, forging a close friendship among all seven. They discovered an abandoned cathedral in the woods, designating it their secret base and spending significant time there throughout their youth; Mina developed a romantic interest in Noé during this period.
In appearance, Mina was a young girl with silky hair tied in a ponytail using a bow. She wore a frilly dress featuring puffy sleeves and possessed bright, sparkling eyes. Her personality was cheerful and extroverted; she actively socialized with her village companions and the castle trio. This disposition shattered after she contracted Malnomen, a condition corrupting a vampire's true name and inducing uncontrollable bloodlust, transforming her into a curse-bearer.
During her adolescence, Mina became afflicted with Malnomen. Upon discovering her condition, her parents alerted authorities who slated her for execution by a Bourreau. Her friends, excluding Louis, intervened, smuggling her out and hiding her within their secret base. This effort failed when Naenia seized control of Mina's mind during her transformation. Under this influence, she attacked and killed Fred, her closest friend. To prevent further harm, Louis, who had contracted Malnomen in exchange for enhanced strength, beheaded Mina. Louis subsequently lost control to the Malnomen, killing Gilles and Fanny before his own beheading by their grandfather.
Mina possessed standard vampire abilities: enhanced strength, speed, and endurance. Her relationships centered on her childhood circle, with Noé Archiviste noted as someone she held a crush towards.
Her appearances occur within flashbacks and memories across manga chapters Mémoire 2, 6, 8, 9, 10, and 21 and corresponding anime episodes. She is mentioned without physically appearing in Mémoire 46 and the Entracte chapter. A trivia note suggests her name may derive from Mina Harker from Bram Stoker's *Dracula*, who similarly transforms into a vampire after being cursed.
