Description
Magisa, the Otherworld Witch, hails from the Battle Spirits Shounen Gekiha Dan series in the Otherworldly Records continuity. She has long pink hair, golden eyes, and initially wears a blue tank top with shorts, securing her hair with a wand. Her boots feature snake heads that attack foes. When casting magic, she dons blue robes with red buttons and a witch's hat, later adopting an elaborate gold, blue, and white ensemble upon regaining full power.
Temperamental and quick to anger, she often resorts to violence. Despite being over 4000 years old, she frequently laments her unmarried status and indulges in heavy drinking. Yet she remains fiercely devoted to protecting Grand Rolo and risks her life for the core soldiers she mentors.
Formerly an Otherworld guardian and skilled card battler, Magisa lost most of her power after the Otherworld King defeated her and stole her deck. Before meeting protagonist Dan Bashin, she collaborated with an earlier generation of core soldiers, including Julian Fines, with whom she shared a potential romance. Julian changed drastically after his own defeat by the Otherworld King but later entrusted her with The StarEmperorDragon Meteorwurm to pass to Dan.
She trained Dan in Otherworld battle tactics to confront Kazan, journeyed with him and Zungurii to recruit core soldiers like Clackey Ray and Mai Viole, and opposed Yuuki’s use of the red Grand Core. Later, she cared for Kajitsu and drained her magic reviving Dan after his defeat by the Otherworld King. A comedic misunderstanding led to her engagement to Gaana, resolved when Dan won a duel for her freedom.
Her quest to retrieve her deck culminated in infiltrating the Otherworld King’s castle. After Dan defeated Dr. Franker, her deck was returned, restoring her true power. She then defeated Leon using her specialized deck—holding only one spirit alongside 39 magic and nexus cards—by drawing her key spirit, The MagicalEmpress Ambrocius. She also repelled Leon’s aerial assault, exhausting herself in the process.
During the final battle, she witnessed Dan’s clash with the Otherworld King. Following Dan’s victory, she absorbed Mother Core’s overwhelming power to save him. As the new bearer of Mother Core’s light, she returned everyone to their original worlds and timelines, permanently sealing Grand Rolo’s gateway.
Her deck strategy centers on drawing The MagicalEmpress Ambrocius, whose effects amplify extensive magic use. Confirmed cards include Victory Fire, Trident Flare, Holy Elixir, and Diamond Wall.
