Description
Magisa guides the bearers of the core's light in Grand Rolo as their mentor. This powerful witch protects Otherworld, recognizable by her long pink hair, golden eyes, and boots crowned with serpent heads that can attack. Her attire shifts to blue robes with red buttons and a witch's hat during magic use, evolving into a more elaborate blue, gold, and white ensemble when she regains her full power.
Her personality blends deep dedication to saving Grand Rolo with volatile reactions to provocation. She voices frustration about remaining single despite past romantic involvements, including a possible relationship with former core soldier Julian Fines, and exhibits a noted drinking habit.
Magisa's history spans millennia, mentoring prior generations of core soldiers. She lost her deck and most magic after defeat by the Otherworld King. Early on, she defended Zungurii's village and taught Dan Bashin battle fundamentals. She identified Clackey Ray, Hideto Suzuri, and Mai Viole as fellow core soldiers en route to the red Horizon Ladder. Her confrontation with Yuuki Momose there failed due to her weakened state.
Reuniting with Julian in the blue world, he entrusted her with The StarEmperorDragon Meteorwurm for Dan. During the Grand Rolo Championship, she became inadvertently engaged to Gaana via a ritual. Dan secured her freedom by defeating Gaana. Later, she cared for Kajitsu Momose after the tournament and expended significant magic reviving Dan's will to fight after his defeat by the Otherworld King, though Julian ultimately aided his recovery.
Magisa infiltrated the Otherworld King's castle to reclaim her deck, confronting Dr. Franker, who used her cards against the core soldiers. After aiding Dan in overcoming Franker, she regained her deck and true form. She defeated Leon in battle using her unique single-spirit deck, though repelling his subsequent ship attack exhausted her.
In the final confrontation, she witnessed Dan's victory over the Otherworld King. When Mother Core's power overwhelmed Dan, Magisa absorbed it herself. Becoming the new bearer of Mother Core's light, she returned everyone to their original worlds and times, permanently sealing Grand Rolo's gateway. This act resolved the crisis but severed her connection to the core soldiers.
Her battle deck contains only one spirit, The MagicalEmpress Ambrocius, alongside 39 magic and nexus cards. This high-risk strategy relies on early draws of the spirit, whose effects synergize powerfully with magic. Documented cards include Victory Fire (Red), Thorn Prison (Green), Danse Macabre (Purple), Holy Elixir (White), and Magic Book (Yellow).
Magisa does not appear in subsequent seasons like Brave, where her narrative role is filled by a similar character, Stella Korabelishchikov.
